Temporary Finance Officer

Location: Lilongwe, Malawi

Period : 4 Months

Reports To: Finance Manager

Direct Reports: None

Purpose of the position

The Temporary Finance Officer will oversee the day-to-day finance operations of the organization including review of payment vouchers, treasury management, bank reconciliations, monthly close-up activities and updating of financial data in the financial management system.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related fields from recognised and accredited institution
• 4 years’ practical experience in finance or accounting in a busy organisation preferably with NGOs
• Excellent mathematical and accounting skills
• Knowledge of donor regulations and global finance principles preferably USG
• Experience in managing audits
• Understanding of internal controls
• Self-starter, effective team player and demonstrated verifiable result-oriented track record
