Human Resources and Administration Officer – Temporary
Location: Lilongwe, Malawi
Reports To: Human Resources and Administration Manager
Direct Reports: Office Assistant (2)
Duration: 4 Months
Purpose of the position
The Human Resources & Administration Officer supports the head of HR & administration in recruitment process, contract issuance, payroll processing, medical plan administration, maintains staff records, and supports absence management. He/she support onboarding and performance management. Additionally, the HR Admin Officer support in management of facilities including payment of rentals and all office utilities.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related fields from recognised and accredited institution
- 4 years’ practical experience in human resources management in a busy organisation preferably in Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO)
- Knowledge of the labour laws
- Experience in using HR payroll and information systems. Sage, PeopleSoft etc
- People management and coaching skills
- Strong verbal and written skills
