Business Development Officer
Location: Lilongwe, Malawi
Reports To: Strategy and Resource Mobilisation Manager
Direct Reports: 2 – Business Development Executive (1) & Training Officer (1)
Purpose of the position
Finance Officer will oversee the social enterprise arm of R4H, supporting the implementation of R4H’s resource mobilization plan for the profit arm. The Business Development Officer will be primarily responsible for supporting R4H in its fundraising efforts. He/she will lead the development and execution of R4H business marketing plans. He/she will be responsible for administration and operations of all marketing and business functions relating to the business arm of R4H.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related fields from recognised and accredited institution
- 4 years’ practical experience in marketing, fundraising or sales
- Experience supporting successful business operations including market insight development and product pipeline development
- Experience designing and/or implementing a business development strategy
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, such as customers & high value partner organizations
- Strong verbal and written communicator, ideally including experience using negotiating strategies
- Self-starter, effective team player and demonstrated verifiable result-oriented track record
